Dr. May Thwin

I am an Australian raised and trained General Surgeon based in Sydney and Griffith, and I specialise in Breast/Endocrine Surgery and Surgical Oncology. After attaining my Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) I spent a further four years developing my subspecialty interests. During this time I spent 12 months training at the prestigious Melanoma Institute Australia, and a further 12 months abroad working in Oxford (UK) as the senior clinical fellow in Endocrine Surgery. I am committed to providing high-quality, equitable care to a diverse patient population.

As an Academic General Surgeon, I have forged strong links within the University and Clinical School community which allow me to provide education and mentorship to the next generation of students and clinicians, with a clear focus on advocacy and representation of women, people of colour and First Nations.​
